Sally is a Registered Socialworker. She attended Massey University and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Social Work. She has worked in social work roles in Australia and New Zealand in the health field for most of her career, predominantly in the area of maternal and child health. From 2001 until the end of 2013, Sally was the Perinatal ( Maternal) Mental Health Social Worker at Taranaki District Health Board. In November 2013, Sally moved to Tui Ora Limited to develop the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health role within a Kaupapa service. In addition to this, Sally works part time as a counsellor for Taranaki Primary Connections providing short term counselling receiving referrals from GP’s. She also provides professional supervision for a variety of social service workers.
Sally has extensive individual, couple, family and group work experiences and skills. She is passionate about working with women, has a caring, non judgmental approach and is committed to ensuring that families have opportunities for an improved quality of life.
